Cormak BS712A Manual Bandsaw
Description
Cormak BS 712A Manual Single Phase Bandsaw
Machine Type: 230V/Single Phase Manual Bandsaw
Machine Description Universal CORMAK BS 712 A band saw with CE marking is a trusted solution for metal cutting, unparalleled for years. Features high efficiency and easy handling. Makes it possible to cut in vertical plane and perpendicular to the cut material axis, or at any angle in 45°–90° range.
Parts to be cut can be fed manually or by any feeding device. The feed during cutting is gravitational on the principle of oil flow in a two-chamber hydraulic cylinder. Suitable speed of arm lowering is obtained thanks to the valve controlling oil flow between the hydraulic cylinder chambers.
Required blade speed is obtained by changing the ratio on the belt pulley between the worm gear and the driving motor.
Rugged, stable and refined construction as well as the arm made of uniform cast iron provide high rigidity and stability while cutting, ensuring accuracy and long-term reliability. The design of the 20 mm saw blade used in the machine makes it possible to cut large quantities of elements.
Machine Construction
Cutting band transmission system is composed of two cast iron wheels. The first wheel is a tensioning wheel (adjusted with a lever) and the second one is a drive wheel. Torque from the worm gear is directly transmitted to the tensioning wheel, while the worm gear is driven by an electric motor. Appropriate band angle is ensured through a set of roller bearings.
The base of the machine is a rigid cuboid made of steel sheets inside which is a cooling fluid container with a flood coolant pump. Due to swivel vice it is possible to cut material at 0°–45° angles.
Tank for flood coolant draining and a container for chips are fixed to the upper part of the machine. Cast iron workbench is attached to the tank, which in turn is equipped with a vice for material clamping and to which the arm of the band saw is fixed.
In the lower part of the machine base are holes for wheel axles. Safety during cutting process is ensured by an electric installation meeting all CE requirements. The machine is equipped with a limiting switch that stops the machine after cutting process is finished, an emergency button, a number of microswitches that switch the machine off when, e.g., the belt transmission guard or cutting band guard are opened. Additionally, our machine, as opposed to competitors, is equipped with a wire brush for band cleaning – it prevents the blade from blocking and ensures a more effective cutting.
